Two of my very favorite things to paint:  soft, quiet moments with a loved one, and the awesome beauty of nature painted onsite!  "Praise in E Minor" was created in oil on canvas, working dark to light.  It depicts my then 16-year old daughter in a home guitar lesson in the evening's lazy light.  (If you are a musician, you'll note that the chord that she is fingering is indeed E Minor!)  "Plein Air Trees," a riverbed scene that an artist friend and I studied one lazy summer day, was created in oil on canvas, and features trees that stand guard over the Arkansas River that runs through our area.
