classes and workshops



 pre-oil painting classes

 If you are not ready yet for oil painting, Kay is available for private
classes in drawing and pre-oil painting instruction.  These classes will prepare
you to begin to paint in oils.  These classes are ideal for younger students still in
school, as she is happy hold them in your home at your convenience
(even after school.)  Tuition:  $20 per 1-hour session. Individual attention given.




oil painting classes

Classes are currently held at

Classes meet weekly in morning (9-12am)

and afternoon (1-4pm) sessions.

Tuition: $15 per 3-hour session.

(Pay as you come, and come as it is

convenient for you -no pressure attend,

or to pay large tuitions in advance.)

All ages and levels of experience are

welcome, and will receive small-group

(6-8 student) attention.  Select and bring

 photos /models that you wish to

paint from(within class guidelines)

and your own set of materials.
 
Materials List:
Easels (any kind will do)
Substrates (canvases, boards, etc)
Oil paints:  basic sets are fine.  Or build a
set from red, blue, yellow, black, & white.
Vehicle: linseed oil, mineral spirits, etc.
Brushes:  I like filberts, rounds, & liners.
Cloths, tissue paper, paper towels.
Palettes, pencils, erasers, etc.
Photos or models of what you'd like
to paint (because other students may
be under age, please bring no sexually
or violently explicit imagery.)

Kay has held workshops in local schools and churches
for many years in art basics, crafts, songwriting, and many
other creative pursuits, for very reasonable fees.
